My guess is a hole in the windshield frame. You can look by removing the interior plastic part around the windshield. I have similar issues with rust in this area, but have not addressed it.

IT took me 5 hours on the 78 SA. Not hard but PITA getting to the connection the connection points. I did pull the AC compressor off the bracket, cause I wanted to chnage the gas line rubber hoses.

The bolts are Torx ...T45 ?
If you use an allen wrench you might strip the interal torx splines.
