Intermittent backfire

Took my car out today and it developed a backfire…last week I eliminated the heat riser since my car does not have the exhaust crossover on the intake (should have done this a long time ago)…anyways...

Yes

Yes it was the hot wire to the washer pump (ignition on hot—ignition was accidentally left on) but I want to make sure that the wires that fried were a result of this and not something else I messed...

That looks nice and all but the end looks like you would run a rubber line to it. I don’t want to use a rubber line. I like the look and strength of the steel lines.

I forgot to mention after shut down I had about 5 seconds of run-on and some back fire...I need to move somewhere warm where I can drive it all the time. Seems I only have issues after long periods...
