I was looking at a similar product from 3M. It is 08509 Auto Bedding and Glazing Compound.

Reading the properties and charateristics, they seem to provide similar tasks.

Okay, did a lot of reading to trace the paths many of you have already blazed.

When I removed the chrome ends and stainless steel t panel trim, I could see signs of the original sealing material....

Hard to see in pics but one of the edges where the duct snaps to the A/C - Heater box is broken. In teh second pic it is the bottom edge of the top openning.

It should not effect the air flow...
