Yanked the spark plugs. The driver's side plugs were all very oily. Passenger side were all normal looking. Putting heads on without messing up the gaskets cannot be that hard. But...I guess it is.

Hey, I am sure they were. It is probably a gasket problem. I just hate to yank the things back off. It's quite a job. But, I think that is exactly what I will need to do.

No, I did not get these checked. They were fairly new off a crate motor. I don't think that is what is wrong. No leaks from the tranny module. Smoke definitely out the exhaust. Blinding white smoke....

I used Felpro 1003 gasket. It is coming out the exhaust headers. No mufflers on it yet. I will check the the vacuum line.

So...I have been tinkering with stuff on my 78 motor. I am just a novice to motor work. I recently put a new set of heads ( stock heads with about 5k miles). I thought I had really messed it all up....
