Start with rebedding the brakes, it's the simplest first step. The process is outlined in the owners manual, but basically you do some repeated hard braking.

I seem to remember hearing at an NCM Bash the GM guys said C7s are not tuned for higher octane 100+, so it would be total waste of money. With a tune it would be different case.

No, the only way to have the valves open 100% of the time is to pull the NPP fuse or install a Mild2Wild. Otherwise, regardless of sound management setting, they will close under certain conditions.

I wouldn't worry about it. Many on the Forum have them and I've never heard of anyone having a warranty issue. You can remove it easily if you're concerned.
