Just had the axle resealed on my 2001. It was an axle seal. Had them do both sides for good measure. Cost was $690 otd. I went to a specialty shop and they did a great job of cleaning the underside...

Make sure you connect the "ant" wire from the HU...

Make sure you connect the "ant" wire from the HU to the dark green wire (pin #8) on the radio C1 connector. this fires a relay for the antenna amplifier in the car. At least on my 2001 coupe it does....

Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X399 + 4 Rockford Fosgate 6.5 primes.

I now have bluetooth + Pandora + USB + 3.5mm front jack.

Wires were wrapped in duct tape and were quite sticky with adhesive...I used charcoal lighter fluid to clean them...much easier to strip wires after that.
