Don't know if anyone has suggested this, but you might want to try installing new MAF ends or just removing the MAF screen. On my '97 new MAF ends was a cheap and easy mod, along with the BlackWing....

It's non conductive silicone grease. You can get it at auto parts stores.

Have the same problem. '97-'99 C5's and a few other GM models. It's the lock actuator. TSB says to remove, test, replace actuator and/or lock cylinder. I'm going to try the clean and grease fix...

That's what I do and it seems to work for me. It's basically what the TSB will do. If they'll do the TSB under warranty and you trust your dealer then get it done.

Are you talking about the Dual Zone Climate control unit in the dash?

If that's what you're talking about, you have to remove the center console and the middle dash piece to get at it. ...

I just discovered that the problems I saw with the auto seat back feature not working when I remove the key is actually a known problem on '97-'99 C5's and there's a TSB. It involves the lock...
