I clean heads,rubber gaskets and valve covers with methylated spirits, dry completely and then rtv the lot down. It doesnt need much rtv just a fine smear. bulletproof.

I have this same radiator in my 71 Camaro RS which lucky for me also fits the vet, both cars radiators are the same dimensions. I did change the bottom neck to a straight fitting to suit the Camaros...

Sure do and even got another drier ready to go for next time. From what im reading plenty are having repeat failures doing the same . An engine spinning to 6000 might not be helping my problem either.
