You may have carbon hot spots. Bring RPM's to around 2000 - 2500 and mist water down the carb till it almost stalls. Do this a few times to expel the carbon, Can't hurt to try.

Except for pulleys to fit the shp motor, mine fit fine out of the box. I did add the flex bracket. Great product.

Clean it up, replace the funky mirror and antenna, mount some decent tires with dog dish, drop in a 383 with lots of chrome, and drive it. Guaranteed to be a hit at any car show.

Went with the umbrellas and O-rings which fit very well. the valves had the positive guides on them which looked in good shape, but no O-ring, but as Robert said, I doubt the guides were machined....

Thanks. I'm doing it like 856666. The umbrellas are sold in sets of 16, so that's how I'm doing it. With the o-ring.
