2004 z06 change battery

Hello
I'm not a frequent driver of my car, and my battery is dead. Is it easy to change the battery? On a scale of 1-10, and me being "handy", i'd give myself a 5.

or is it just better / easier...

I have a c5 2004 z06 with about 15000 miles on it. I work from home so I don't drive that much.

it's coming up on the 3 year warranty in August so I'm debating about buying an extended warranty....

shifting gears

oddly enough it's started to shift easier for some reason almost like new now. I did take it in to have the oil changed but i can't imagine that would have fixed the difficult shifting.

I also have a 2004 z06 that is so fast for me it's ridiculous. I totally was in green envy of the 2006/7 z06 because it looks awesome. However, given it's price tag is more than double what i paid...
