Outside temp sensor reset info

Thanks to all who answered the question re: stuck outside temp sensor. My 01 temp display (dim though it has become) was showing around 75-76 when it was over 90 outside-- thought I'd be replacing it...

I tapped into the power wire just after the connection to the antenna harness (easily accesssed on the passenger side, in the trunk just behind the wheel well-- just pull back the carpeting...

Hey thanks for both pics and ideas. I was thinking about locating next to the acc'y plug but thought putting inside that tube might be neater. Looks like both solutions are quite doable and elegant...

2001 Convertible Antenna switch Bypass

I'm replacing my power antenna (2001 convertible) unit as soon as the new unit arrives (ribbon broke).
In the meantime, I'm also going to install a bypass switch in the power wire to the antenna...

Thanks. I successfully removed the antenna unit, drilled out the rivets, and found that the lower portion (about 5 inches) of the ribbon was broken off from the rest. That's why the antenna couldn't...

I've searched the archives, but can't find details on repairing the power antenna (01 Convertible). The motor runs but mast stays in up position (no viagra jokes, please!).
