Remove the vacuum actuator and access the blend...

Remove the vacuum actuator and access the blend actuator screws thru the glovebox. No need to remove the passenger lower air ducts (per the service manual)

Mine failed in the winter months. EBCM started with a infrequent TC & AH faults till it finally failed in a period of about 3 months.

C1255 fault code

1999 Vert./V code EBCM.

There was a year (98-99?) when the OEM rockers had the needle rollers failing. The rockers would "rotate" on the trunion due to several lost needles that hopefully made it down to the oil pan.

If yours is a Auto, the seal is the shaft seal on the seal plate between the trans and diff. Mine would "bleed" red tranny fluid backing down the driveway thru the weep hole. seal PN 24207010

Code C1255 when “hot”

1999 convertible just started to set a code C1255 only after 15-20 miles of driving. No communication to EBCM.

Possible cold solder joint inside the module? Already checked/ cleaned the grounds....

You can bend a larger angle "kink" in the strap...

You can bend a larger angle "kink" in the strap where the existing kink is (about 2 inches from the latch) to create a bit more tension to hold the latch "over center". At least this worked for me.

The magnet is to activate the reed switch inside the TPMS, so the location of the magnet is critical. Did my car in 2 minutes by placing the magnet inside of the valve stem.

My 99 vert would leave a 20 foot drip trail of ATF in the morning backing out of the garage until I fixed it. The seal was about $60 2 years ago. A stealership quote was for about $700 to fix.
