Re: high end trouble with new zo6 (LONEWOLF)

I would not free rev it. Free rev to 6,000 RPM and running gears to 6,000 RPM are 2 totally different things. 6,000 RPM with a load on the engine- good, 6,000 RPM free rev- bad. :chevy

Re: Drag Strip 1/4 mile: Best auto trans technique for results? (K&B Motorsports)

Turn traction control off. Put trans in 3rd. Power brake, get tires to spin then release up to the line. Idle into the lights. Torque up just enough to take slop out of drive line. Release the brakes...

Re: Removing BSMs? (Last Ride)

Heat them up with a hair dryer and work a bondo squeegee under one end. When you can grap a hold of it, carefully pull off the molding. The tape left behind will roll off with your fingers. Any left...

Re: A4 Owners with Transgo shift kits please check in (wave_3)

You guys with the shift kit, do you have any kind of programming to go with it? I was told that with a shift kit, the trans pressure sensors will constantly try to "fix" the condition of the added...

Re: Inside Front Tire Wear! (Corvette ED)

My tires are like this too. I just bought the car from my uncle one year ago with 16K miles. The tires have been doing this for some time. GM has come out with new alignment specs. The old specs made...

Delco glass mat battery?

What are your thoughts/ experiances with the new AC Delco glass mat battery? How does it compare to an Optima? I need to buy a new battery for my Vette this Spring when it comes out of storage. I...

Re: Best Exhaust Setup?

I plan on using the FLP header kit (Ceramic coated LT headers, high flow cats, and a SS X-pipe) and Corsa Indy cat back with Pro tips. Sounds like the best way to go to me. JMO. :chevy

Re: E/T Streets - Tube or Tubeless (Austrian Vette)

You can run tubless. The tires may leak a little air,(not seen yet, but that is why tubes are recommended by manufacturer) so chech tire pressures regularly. :chevy

Re: It's soooo small.... (BIG Dave)

If you keep your oil changed, you won't have to worry about the filter getting caked with sludge. :yesnod:

Re: Opinions needed on coolant choice. (vettenuts)

I can't see why low coolant will gell up. One of the problems I heard of with the Dex-cool turning to mud, is that some of the blocks were not etched.(S10/ Blazer variety for one) The old "green"...

Re: Opinions needed on coolant choice. (OPEN PLZ)

Just keep what came in it from the factory. There is nothing wrong with Dex-cool. The reason it gels is that people mix "green" coolant in with it.

I was also wondering almost the same thing. What sensors will work in ZO6 wheels on my '97? I keep getting different answers.

Re: Battery foam on stock battery

The battery in my '00 Silverado started leaking and then went dead. I had it replaced under warranty. They didn't reinstall the insulator. That is great service. :chevy
