That being said, I usually replace both at the same time either way since it’s pretty easy and for under $150 you can get both.

Like many here I have always used the Motive 0108 Power bleeder (no fluid in the canister) to pressurize the master, allowing me to use the catch bottle at the caliper/bleeder side to bleed...

The pads are the same between base and Z51. Technically the caliper sizes are the same, but the rotors are bigger on the Z51.

Either way, same pads and you won’t be able to tell the difference...
