Update

FINALLY got my CTS-V back, been a tough month driving a V6 SRX loaner. According to the dealer my "crankshaft main bearing spun damaging block" and was "not repairable".

SO nice to once again...

GM is repalcing my 556 HP 6.2 L LSA and honoring the factory 100k mile drive train warranty. There is NO indication the addition of long tube headers installed by the original owner had any bearing...

The dealer and service manager said they are recomending full replacement to GM and I somewhat feel they are on my side as their repair and service to this car has been questionable at best.

The Z06 & GS share one expensive trait, rear 325/30 19 tires. Very limited selection out there for this tire size and it is expensive everytime you need a new set (2), figure $1,100.00 on the cheap...

I went from a C6 Z06 with Corsa exhaust to the CTS-V last year, the 'noise' it was making was quiet if you ask me. I purchassed car from a dealer, not an individual.

I have owed both and loved them both, especially the C5 color over the C6 color. But that is the only thing it beats the C6 on and it does only because black is impossible to keep clean.
