I ran a torquer II until I installed a cowl hood. It worked well for the limited space under the hood. I believe the performaer may be a little taller. You will also need a drop base air cleaner.

I had the same issue and found in the steering...

I had the same issue and found in the steering column there is a springloaded brass button that rides on a plate in the tilt mechanism and the spring broke. Tough repair.
