On my drive in to work on Monday morning it was 39 degrees. My oil temperature got to 184 degrees...perfect. If I had put the oil cooler in the cold tank, the oil temperature would have stayed...

I'm not sure that getting all of the air out is a good thing. With no air there's no room for fluid expansion. Might cause over pressurization.

It looks like a bolt but it's only a 10-32 pan head screw, 3/16" diameter ... very little mass. The friction from the o-ring seems to keep it tight. I've already driven 3000 miles or so this way. ...
