I finally got back to working on the car. I checked cylinder 6 and I get some fluctuation in voltage, but it's generally between .15v and .26v. Cylinder 8 had 0 volts DC. I'm leaning toward there...

I get 0V DC, the only voltage that shows up is AC and it's between 0.4 And 0.6.

I did some investigating and the results are as follows:

Back probe on the purple wire results in spark
Pink wire was 12.2v ignition on, not running
Black wire brightly illuminates test light...

Thanks for the thorough reply. The car is a 2004 Z06. I did not pull the wire of the coil to see if it will arc, I can try that as well as probing the pins at the coil tonight. I'll post my findings...

I have a 2004 c5 z06 with headers and a vararam that I'd consider trading. I know it's not track prepped like you're looking for, but it's a clean car that would be a solid starting point.
