If you unplug the xm module - plenty of threads...

If you unplug the xm module - plenty of threads where to find it depending upon model - then the xm button will go away. Takes almost a couple of minutes to unplug the module.

I had that issue with loose cable to module. As stated try unplugging and plugging back in. I think even without subscription you still get XM button so you can display XM serial number etc.
