I believe the secondary fan kicks on at 228 unless the AC is on. If the AC is on then both fans should be running.

I see normal operating temps from 190 to about 205 on hot Texas days. ...

So I took the battery out this evening. It was a DIEHARD GOLD. I ran it up to Sears & it tested bad. The battering was 7 1/2 years old. I considered that good, so I purchased another DIEHARD...
