I would find out what code that check engine light is. Because you sound like it something to do with the cooling, last thing you want is to overheat the engine.

1987 only 572 coupes were yellow.
317 in 1988.
2,338 in 92
390 in 96.
Not sure how many of those are manuals.

If you're talking about 84-87 then I can remember they looked awesome back in the day. But after a bit I changed mine to BBS styled. For 88-90 those are keepers!

Most just send them out to have professionally refinished. But if you want to do yourself then use paint stripper to strip any clear coat then use at least a buffer and some polish to polish them.

I did see up close back in the day a maroon color 89 w/wide body and 11" rears w/cap. But the engine was L98 so either somebody had the body work done immediately or I don't know if they bought it...
