Yes, but it seems as some others have similar problems with the DIC and thinks it may be related to the battery or solenoid, maybe even a connection problem.

steering lock bypass

get the buy pass as soon as you can and get it put on - you can install it at anytime - it works wonders and really helps - done many for our club and it works! Good luck... our 01 had fixed 3 times...
