Well... there's such a difference between the two cars, that only you can know which one you should go for. Drive them both. The Z06 is quite a bit faster. A full second in the 1/4 mile kinda faster....

Nope, all Z06's have the same bodystyle (within their generation). However, the C5 Z06 is an FRC type with a rear truck lid, whereas the C6 Z06 has a hatchback rear-glass (and is more aerodynamic).

I used to own a C5Z and took it there on Friday's for, I'd say, at least 100 passes over 2 years (out of which I got a 12.9 only three times). Although it's fun, don't expect to run great times....
