Yeah my Z06 sounds like a sewing machine also. However it does not have a knock. Now the LS1 in my Trans Am does have a knock. It runs hard and makes 327 RWHP so I don't think anything is wrong...

For me it wasn't worth it. Until 2008 the C6 could not keep up with my Z06. Stock of course. My experience at the race track. I don't go to the drag strip. Plus I hate the look of the hatch...

I think it's great. I always have it up. Use it mostly for speed. I keep the speed, tach and oil pressure up. Wish it had the lateral G numbers like on the C6. Oh well.

The second fan doesn't kick in till something like 232 unless you have the A/C on. About had a stroke when I saw 234 in rush hour traffic. Turned on the A/C and it started to cool off.
