OK, so I took my '81 in to be smog checked yesterday and for the first time in the decade I've owned it, it failed to pass. No problems with tailpipe emissions, but it flunked the visual inspection...

Same here! I looted the local K-mart for all their PF25s & 35s about a year and a half ago, as well as their Penskes and Castrol MaxPros (both mfd by Wix) - 38 filters total. Should last me a while ...
