Why does my bb project sit so high?

After 27 years getting back to my 1969 big block roadster project. The front end is about 2 inches too high. Is this because of the BB springs? Any ideas?

My car has 370 posi with t10 4 speed and is a great combo. Remember If you have a 3 series carrier you cannot put a 4 series in it.

black `64 coupe

Has a replacement 350 motor.
no power steering.
does have power brakes and windows.
old paint has chips and cracks(looks good from 10 feet away).
I have had the car for 5 years.
has a new alum...
