Re: Anyone race a Dodge stealth? (sharkthehunter77)

Out track sucks for high powered cars. Have you had a chance to try out your new engine at the track? What were your times? If you haven't had the opportunity to do some track runs, DO NOT...

Re: Head Recommendations Needed (SCVetteGuy)

I wouldn't spend a dime on the 1980 stock heads. Thin casting prone to cracking and leaves you very little material to port. Try to get factory high performance heads (pre-smog) with 64cc chambers....

Re: What do you do with your broke parts? (Maurice)

Maurice
Buy the wife a welder and let her make "art work" out of it. Hey, some of the small parts might make good Christmas tree ornaments or kitchen/refrigerator magnets. LOL

Re: Tell me whats wrong with this most simple valve adjustment method. (Marc80)

Marc
Your method will still take 2 complete crankshaft revolutions to complete 1 revolution at the distributor. The only difference between your method & the 0-90-180-270 method is that you want to...

Re: i got the cam in but.... (ykp53)

oh big block..... more cubes can tolerate bigger cams, however I still suspect too low static compression. Throw a vacuum gauge on there and see what kind of numbers you get. Also take note of the...

Re: i got the cam in but.... (ykp53)

I agree with the guys above that you are having a low vacuum condition. Other reasons for low vacuum are too much cam timing overlap or not enough static compression for the cam. That cam's lobe...

Re: Why the ruckus over LT1's, LS1's, ect (Bob Deeken)

I've read similar things about not being able to overbore the LS motors. I think that is old news.

Racing technology/experience has shown that these motors can be resleeved successfully. They...

Re: Told a friend he could put a bog block in any C3, this is true right? (sharkthehunter77)

Shark
Maurice's 69 427/4spd might be ready for sale soon. It would be way cheaper to buy a big block Vette than to buy all of the little things to fit it into a small block Vette. Talk to Maurice....

Re: Why do many racers disconnect their vacuum advance? (GrandSportC3)

When you are doing test-n-tune runs at the strip, plugging the vacuum line just removes the possibility of variances or freaky occurrences with your distributor/timing. So if you got a suspect...

Re: only number 8 runs rich??? (71roadster)

The engine vacuum port is located on No.8's intake runner. If you are running an automatic tranny, the transmission's vacuum modulator receives the vacuum signal from that port. It is not uncommon...

Re: 1975 350 Modifications (poncho_1119)

Based on weak memory, I think gutting the cat netted me ~25 hp gain. That's based on 1/4 mi mph calculation. It can be very restrictive!

After you get that resolved, a new cam should be first on...

There is so little information out there about this cam. I figured that since the hydraulic XE line was so popular with this C3 bunch, that somebody here would have tried it already. If it as good...
