The C2 muncie tail shafts should have a bushing in the back of the housing. Not a bearing. The OD on my tail shaft is the same as the one already pictured

Each motor has a ground wire that is connected to the metal case of the motor with a short screw and a star washer. They will not run without the ground.

The vin tag appears to be a real GM vin tag. The trim tag just to the left of the vin tag also has a lot of info about the car. A picture of that tag would also be helpful.

The trim tag was made (D13) at least 10 months before the vin tag on that car. One or the other didn't come on that car.

Both of the Ebay pumps are service replacements. Also 1965 Corvettes with 327/300hp air condition used the 40083 fuel pumps

I thought the "s" plus the vin # stamp was used on the transmission. I would check the transmission stamp. Its possible they mixed up the stamps.
