I've been running a Hawker Odyssey 925MJT since 2006, metal case & using a 3-side aluminum hold-down - 26 pounds - stays on battery tender when in garage. No issues with heat.

In fact, NCCC clubs DO put on HPDE events. And ..., per discussion at last NCCC national meeting, NCCC insurance writer has no issues providing insurance to NCCC for "wheel to wheel" type events....
