I am about 3" lower than stock, about an inch above the tires, just enough so they don't hit the fender over bumps(tire sidewall just barely sticks out my wide CCWs.)

You can, but you should use a few small spacers so you are not distoring the bracket and bushing. The stock bracket is not quite big enough for such a large bushing.

They have 30% more piston area then the stock calipers and while they may feel better, your brake bias is screwed and you are accually not breaking as well as you were.
