You'd probably have to do something similar to what they did for the Lotus Motorsport Elise, which was to add a panel that latches between the rear buttresses and smooths out the flat area. That way...

Re: What would you want in a local Corvette club? (JB)

I like my club, but it could use more racing and less eating!

Re: Did a Photochop on my C3.. (GrandSportC3)

GS,

You're photochop looks like it's a midnight blue, not a true black (maybe it's just my monitor :leaving: ) anyhoo, I think that a midnight blue (deep deep almost black blue) would look...

Re: Lightening a C3... Random thoughts. (shawn_cake)

Well here's my bid:

C4 suspension, front and back, with new wheels.
Fixed headlights (removes all that vacuum stuff)
Daytona Front end (Gkull saved a bit with his conversion)
Carbon Fiber...

Re: check out this thermostat (Jvette73)

Well, better stuck open than closed. That's how my first car got ruined! (when the engine lights failed to turn on - no temp gauge).

Cheers,

Re: Transmission lines (gkull)

You CAN get the tranny lines in and out of an assembled car, but it definately isn't any fun, especially at the transmission end!

I'm with Gkull on this one. Installed SS braided lines with AN...

Re: Head Intake Port Q's... (gkull)

Gkull,

Definately am converting it to EFI. Will probably extend the horns to help with the low-end as well.

I think you may be right tho. It may be easier to have the intake ports redone.

Re: OT - Why do people assume because you drive a Vette you have Money? (Jasonty)

Sorry, but if I took a well maintained Ferrari to a detailer and he came back to me and said, "Yeah, nice car...$40", I'd be going WTF?! :skep:

C3's may not be the most valuable car on the...

Re: Head Intake Port Q's... (comp)

Comp,

From what I was told, it's an old Mickey Thompson manifold. Would sure love to know more about it!

As for Webers, I would have had to go large, at least 52mm if not bigger, but the cost...

Re: Head Intake Port Q's... (gkull)

Hi guys, late reply, hope everyone had a great holiday!

A bit of both. I originally wanted to do a Weber cross-ram, but the cost of the carbs plus the fact that they don't really have a high...

Head Intake Port Q's...

Hi all,

I am _still_ speccing out heads and it seems I can never really settle on a definate set. I know what flow I need, but the main problem is finding a head that will match the intake I plan...

TT,

You've alluded to it, but I think it must be true...somehow we're related!

Re: What size Summit alum. radiator did you buy? (Budman78)

31x19 with 2x1.25" core is what will work nicely. Depending on the year, you can probably even go bigger, but I'd be more inclined to go thicker (like 2x1.5").

You might want to read my write-up...

Re: anyone here running dry sump system? (redvetracr)

Redvetracr,

I'll probably have to modify the frame, but I don't really see that as a big deal.

Re: Is this ugly or what ... (Sport 718)

Ack!

That side profile reminds me a bit of either Maserati or a Pantera. Either way, at 150K, you could buy both a Maserati AND a Pantera and still have enough money to buy the Vette of your...

Re: anyone here running dry sump system? (Twin_Turbo)

TT,

I'll be running a dry sump on the engine I'm building up. In fact, the block I got is made for dry sump anyway. I got a 5-stage Razor pump, but that's as far as I've gotten (since I'm still...

Re: interesting car on ebay (TTop Tony)

That's a pretty nice custom Vette. Although I prefer flat glass to the bubble backs, the slanted back actually looks nice.

Not a bad deal, I'd say. Someone grab it!

Re: Mouse Control! (djcwardog)

A good way to deter (Note: not eliminate, just deter) them from staying in your vehicle is to get a box of...

Re: Oil turned dark quick [kinda long] (Big Fish)

Re: Suspension/Wheel Question (norvalwilhelm)

Thanks for the reply, Noval! Did you customize the axles yourself?

Sounds like modified hubs would be something the Corvette vendors should be stocking instead of selling those wheel adapters! I...
