can you rechrome lightly pitted chrome windshield trim??, what is electroless plating. any good shops out there anyone has used and had excellent results ?

have 87 hanger queen. drive maybe 1 hour ever 15 days. had inspection done today and failed as co was 1.83 and max was 1.20 at low speed {idle at 639}/ at 2500rpm passed fine. any suggestions??? ...
