I've got the same problem. A non corvette BB in my 67 with the stinger hood. I've put a 2 inch air filter on it and it fits, but I'd like to know the correct size also so I can use the 2 1/2 inch...

Muncy shifter removal help needed

I'm going to drop the Muncy 4 speed transmission. How do I get the T-bar shifter off the transmission? I've got the ball and t-bar off, but I can't remove the shaft that goes into the shift linkage....

Try looking at Corvette Centrals power steering...

Try looking at Corvette Centrals power steering box #562439, that replaces your old box. You don't need all the mess under the car. Just a pump! I just put it in my 67 BB. What a nice conversion.

Dot 5 is the way to go

:iagree::D I think I replaced my 67 calipers in the late 70"s with SS and Dot 5 fluid. No problems at all. I'm a believer!

Why does my BB 67 have the holes for the overflow tank plugged. I've noticed in catalogs some 67 didn't come with the tank. Does anyone know which Big Blocks didn't? :confused:

My 67 427 had a similar problem. It would start when cold but nothing would happen when hot.... sometimes. I did see the the gauges working. So I ran a wire from the starter up close to the positive...

The 67 is different. It could be that your car has a 67 switch in it. Take your key and cylinder to a parts store and ask them if you can try to fit the two together. If you buy before you test it...

Thanks for all the input. I think I've got a normal BB. It was originally a big block but what size I don't know. It wasn't an L88 :( because it had a radio, heater and expantion tank.
