Quality, fully-forged aftermarket wheels are always best, but especially for wide-body Vettes. Granted, such is not cheap; but, this is a case of getting what you pay for, and what genuinely works...

Depending on which engine you have, look at the drain-plug(s) and the relevant pan/tank. Lift so that is level and then drain it. For the base St'ray it takes a nearly level car to be close to ideal....
