I got a bad o2 sensor from NAPA.
I got a good one from Chevy & it cured the same problem.

It should be able to sit for a year & still start up.
You have a drain on your battery.
Not unusual.
Try putting a test light between your batttery post & your disconnected battery...

A loose belt makes a squeeling noise.
Take your belt off and hand spin your accessories, and listen for friction.

I think you should spray some starting fluid at the air cleaner & crank it. Just for a secondary test to make sure its fuel related.

Feel that passenger seat motor if its hot thats your problem.
Also you can put a 12 volt light between your battery pos.& the disconnected pos....

Theres alittle more involved in changhing the cam...

Theres alittle more involved in changhing the cam than pulling the fan & shroud.
You have to drop the oil pan to get the timming chain cover off.
