ignition module

Inside the distributer is an electronic chip. They fail and the car won't start. Mine died a couple of years ago. Replacements available at most parts stores, easy to install in about half an hour.

I would flush the system using plain water. Open the radiator drain cock, and remove the block drains if possible. They are on the bottom of each side of the engine, and can be a pita to remove....

I had my 75 vette recored in 99, still works great. A shop with 90 years in the business did it right, just like new. Go for it.

No start condition

My 75 was running yesterday. It stalled and won't restart. The car cranks well, just won't catch. Was running well up to this point. New coil, cap and wires a couple of years ago.

gas guage pegged

Today I started my 75 and the gas gauge immediately pegged beyond full. The car had 3/4 tank full, and the guage suddenly buried itself. After driving, no movement of the guage. Where do I begin?

Use the instructions from Zip. I'm not an expert by any means, but the special screwdriver worked wonders in a few seconds. Bang, the pin was in and the door works like a charm. Use their website...

Check Paul79's post for a non a/c core change. Can be done from the engine compartment in a short time. If you have a/c, money is well spent to have a garage do it. :)
