Damn! Sounds exactly like my car... I put a ZZ4 in it and boxed up the old box. That Crane 327/350 cam is not a good choice for low end torque.

I did the install in an afternoon, without instructions, when I bought my kit there were no instructions. Hardest part was getting the steering column compressed to the right length. :thumbs:

I've done that for years, my Dad showed me the trick back in the 60's when our Pontiac would start pinging..
quart of ATF in the carb.. slowly drizzled in.. then a good high speed...
