The engine fire was the result of so much maintenance being performed on the car in that area. The clutch hydraulic line, from the master cylinder, to the fork(?), lost its flashing and insulation...

I think with the new 2015 Z06 GM has pulled it off. It is not to say they have pleased them all, but they have made a Corvette as good as it can be, barring any opinion. I think the facts say it all....
