Corvette Varsity Jackets
 

Have any of you purchased the Chevy endorsed Corvette C5 varsity jacket? These are the ones with the black leather sleeves and the leather collar with storm flap covering the snaps. Most of the other sites that sell these jackets show them with leather collars as well. I picked one up from a friend last night who no longer has a Vette, and that particular one has a knit collar and no storm flap. I'm wondering if the leather collars wear well or poorly? I note that chevyshop.com (I think) sells one nearly identical to the one I just bought. It has the snaps all the way down the front without a storm flap like the current ones. The knit collar jacket is about $279 and the leather collar jacket is $189. On this forum the leather collar one is $259. I ask about this because I have to get one a size bigger than the one I bought last night. Thanks. Dan
