Door memory switch replaced

Delivered Dec 01-04 / 2000 miles and loving every one of them. My mirrors would not set into either memory setting when programmed. They just returned to the default setting. All other memory functions worked however. Dealer ordered new switch and corrected the problem. Just to note that this was the second C6 at the dealership with this problem. Easy fix  .

Dash skin is delaminating (about 1/2 inch) near right hand instrument cluster pod. Dealer said he would replace entire dash pad...still mulling it around if I want the dash tore out.

Damn,..... I have developed a serious problem. I can't keep my foot off the gas...

This criteria is absolutly absurd. Get real!

The factory warrantee is NOT affected by modifications UNLESS the mod is found to be the cause of the issue.

If the mod is the culprit of your issue, then it should not be posted as a GM issue. This would be more realistic than demanding that if an owner had put aftermarket exhaust on the Vette and, in example, the drivers window motor failed, that issue wouldn't be counted.

dvarapala 01-19-2005 09:44 AM

My issues so far after 5 days and 300 miles:
  • Wind noise from driver's side window area
  • Under-hood light does not work
  • Strong burning smell after driving

TruUndrtkr 01-19-2005 10:00 AM

my problem is that i dont have 1 yet 2 put along side the c5 :D

Indeed.

While I was buying my C6, another salesman took a customer for a test drive. When he came back, he backed the car into the showroom, shifted into first, and turned the engine off. The tag was still on the shifter.

2vette2 01-19-2005 11:56 AM

None at 2,500 miles.

LS WON 01-19-2005 01:57 PM

At 300 miles

Daytime Running Light/Turn signal bulb burned out.
Found 1 pimple on paint like a spec of a pinhead sticking out of the paint on side of fender.(Minor)

made 42% on pathology, 47 on pharmacology, and 67 on microbiology tests in November. It's the car's fault, really.

Picked up a absolutely gorgeous (a ten, IMHO) girlfriend. Hated that I never saw the "ass-attaining" power of the C6. Told the dealer I was bringing it back if I didn't have an STD by early summer.

requires that you actually spend time to wash it. it's a joy, actually.

became one you "you people", checking up on the corvette forum several times a day ;)

has too much power for the wheels. they're going to get me for littering cuz i leave treads way too often.

got to be hard on people's heart/ nerve health to see a car go 2.5 their speed even though they're slightly speeding on the interstate. Probably told their doctor that they have red streaks in their peripheral vision.

causes too much covetting.

doesn't change colors from day to day. wouldn't it be fun to have blue one day and yellow the next?

requires gas. would be much more fun to not actually have to pay for driving it.

Should come with a surgeon general's warning like cigarettes do.

The Bose speaks actually do sorta suck when you play them loud - but at least GM's thinking about preserving our hearing.

Attracts pseudo-testosterone-driven adolescent males in cheap "souped" up junkies to reach unknown pentacles of sheer annoyance when they get up beside the vette and rev their little engines up so hard that you think nuts and bolts are going to sling out and poke you in the eye. Really, i have to wear sunglasses for that.

The seat grabs my ass and won't let go.

the rims are not curb-deterrent. ouch!

can't talk to it like nightrider did - only can talk to the NAV and that women is way obnoxiously annoying. Can't even start an argument with her by telling her to Shut the FU. I'm personally bothered by relationships with women whom I can't see. She could be fat for all I know. May even have hair on her chin. If a woman is going to be a permanent part of my car, I want to be assured that she is hot. I demand a picture of the woman whose voice is on the NAV before I turn the sound back on. And that picture better look good in string bikini.

There's not standard option for flames down the side or teeth painted on the front grill. I was looking for it on chevy's website. Who do they think they are marketing this thing to?? The french?

Stay away from Tigers. Made one purchase at Exxon on a trip and recieved nearlt a full tank of water for the same price as 93 octane. Lost my pride and joy for two weeks, But they did pay for damages and some expenses. Three other super unleaded customers suffered the same fate, plus one diesel in a 24 hour period. The dealer did a great job on the repairs. C6 runs perfect and I am back to normal problems of answering peoples questions everywhere I stop.

6 1/2 years old. OMG. Record?

At 70,300 miles had a rear wheel hub replaced under warranty.

Lousy seats - made to comfort for $60 at a local trim shop.

Other than that usual C6 gripes: popping roof, rattles, pops, and squeaks

Interesting a thread this old resurrected... :willy:
