:iagree: You have to remember that the LSx engines have massive amounts of low RPM torque, compared to a Bimmer. You can drive around in 4th at 1300 rpm and still accelerate without bogging down the engine. Of course a downshift to 2nd will accelerate oh so much faster!!

The CAGS defeat plugs are available from almost all Corvette vendors, and solve the problem for good. I have had one on my vette and 94 Z28 from almost the 1st week I've owned them.
