I would like to revive this thread so that the previous discussion isn't lost.

I can't imagine why the Corvette C4 with the 4+3 transmission couldn't handle at least a 3,000 trailer. I have the C4 hitch and carry a set of track tires and wheels on a small platform with no problems. A trailer should be less tongue weight and the only challenge would then be pulling the trailer and stopping the trailer. Pulling should be no problem -- it is a 5.7L engine. Stopping could be more of a challenge but I don't think that it should be too bad, especially with upgraded pads. What am I missing? I would think that the challenge would be to drive the Corvette as if it were a 1/2 ton pickup pulling a significant trailer -- taking it slow and easy with lots of safety cushion all the time.

There are a LOT of good threads buried in this forum
Unfortunately bringing one up more than 45 days old gets it locked up.
Dont understand that but rules is rules.

My fear towing with it would be if it ever started whipping on you its over.

:nono: Reviving a thread over 45 days old is against forum rules.
