How do you remove door panel to fix the driver window ? 1990/91/92

I don't know how to remove the door panel! I have to get into the door to replace that plastic tape thingy that rolls the window up and down.

On my old 86 it was primarily just a bunch of screws. I don't know where to start on the 90 interior and I don't want to break anything. Anyone ever been in the door on a 90 - 92?

I think they changed the interior again in 93. Not sure. Any pointers would be welcome.

Had mine off last summer. There are screws everywhere. In the carpet area, around the handle, the slide for the lock needs to come off. Start with the screws and pull alittle on the the panel. If it won't come in one spot check for a screw. If that doesn't work, let me know I'll look in the manual and get the specific's. The hard part was putting it back on.

Trick is : 1. getting all the screws out, 2. remove the door lock switch cover, 3. lift up to unhook from lip then while pulling slightly toward you slide toward the front... after 6 or 8 times its not toobad to do..

Marcho Polo had a pic of the panel with all the locations of the screws. I'm going of memory from my '93(which is the same).

There are 6 screws along the bottom in the carpeted area. There is one in the door jamb area(very easy to see). There is one on the front of the panel. Remove the lense in the door handle bezel, there is a screw behind that. You'll see the other screw behind the door handle. Remove the door lock slider and remove screw. On the passenger side(I never did this yet, it had alredy been removed) remove the window switch to reveal another screw. Remove the screws from the door pull area. On the drivers side, disconnect the window and power mirror switch. I think that should cover it.

OHH! So it's still just a bunch of screws and they are disguised better. I took a cursory glance on Tuesday and didn't see any screws, but it was dark out. I thought they'd switched to those plastic pull things that usually break when you remove them. I'm going out at noon today to tackle this in broad daylight, so I'm sure it'll be easier to see the screws. If it's still just a bunch of screws then it won't be bad. Thanks for the help. I'll post again if I have trouble. I've never had to change the window motor tape before.
