Type trans. fluid 86 700R4

Possibly to simple a question,but dont want to get it wrong. What type of transmission fluid would be the best for a 700R4? :confused:

Dexron/Mercon IIE or III . I would spend the extra and get synthetic or atleast the blend. If the tranny has many miles throw in a bottle of slick50 auto transmission treatment.

Use Dexron III from Mobil or Aamco, both are non-synthetics and work well.

i have the same type question.....if i drain mine when its removed (when i pull witht he motor) will it harm if i put in all synthetics for fill up?
how about after a possible strengthening rebuild?
i eventually want to run ALL synthetic fluids in this car! (don't ask why, i'm just kinda anal like that) :crazy:
