The LN (Luxury Nova) package sent Nova into the luxury portion of the compact market; some actually thought of it as competing against a few high-end European imports. The Nova LN was called "the most luxurious compact in Chevrolet's history," with wide-back reclining front seats that "look and feel like big, soft lounge chairs." LN equipment included ad*ditional sound insulation, map pockets, an electric clock, a smoked instrument lens, and a day/night mirror. Swing-out quarter windows could be ordered for the coupe. "Thanks to LN," the sales brochure announced, "Nova's image will never be the same again."
305 cu in (5.00 L) with a three-speed automatic, don't have any pictures of it in digital form. |

Interesting. I don't recall having ever heard of that before. Thanks for the info.

Yes that is it, I wanted a Corvette but when I tried to get insurance, it was more than the car payment so I got the Nova. It would run with the Pontiac Trans Am and Formula, the thing just ran GOOD .... I was happy :D |
Well, the 2000 Honda Accord that I still have doesn't count because it was my parents and I used it until they just "sold" it to me for $0  Mine was actually about 3 weeks ago when I bought my 2009 ZR1 :woohoo: I'm 23.

I can top them all. Mine was a 1961 Ford Falcon 2 door coupe, light blue, 170 cubic inch, 3 on the tree. 30 mpg was not bad in those days.

1st new car I bought was a
1987 Buick T-Type turbo regal. White with red interior and it was approx $16,000.00 IIRC My 1st car my parents bought for me was a 1969 Camaro. 307 ci with 3 speed manual trans. I would still have it had my father not made me trade it for a newer car that I needed for college and work. I was kinda hard on the Camaro and broke it often. |
1969 Pontiac GTO.
It was my first new car given to me by Dad on my 21st birthday. His father gave him one apparently. Previously owned a 63 tempest Le mans and a 65 GTO. Both of those were a year or so old when I had them. Ya spoiled brat. |
every car I've had was used. I only bought one car new and it's the one photographed below. It was a great bang for your buck and I wouldn't dare have trusted one of these used.
I have found every other car I bought, my Vette included, is a way better deal used than buying new. I de-riced the thing and removed the wing shortly after owning the car. Couple hundred dollars into it ran 13.2 @ 111. Easy 12s if it were RWD or if it had a tire. Fun daily driver for a few years. 2004 Dodge (Neon) SRT-4 https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n..._4778900_n.jpg https://scontent-b-mia.xx.fbcdn.net/...30&oe=5440D2DF https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n..._6686565_n.jpg |
I was poor so I had a 1989 Chevy Cavalier $9,300 :sadangel:

First brand new car I bought was a 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Hatchback. It was stolen twice in 4 months and was beat on pretty good. Kept it in storage when I went to Okinawa for 3 years, sold 6 months after I got back. Only had 19K miles on.
First car I ever owned was a 1979 Mercury Cougar XR7. |

1989 Ford Escort GT because Ford was the closest dealership I could walk to when my 1972 Formula Firebird stranded me for the last time. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...23f5d9961a.jpg |
