M ECS install

2 Attachment(s)
I drove down to Redline Motorsports on Friday to have my ECS kit installed. The install took about 6 hours to do and the tune took a few more hours as it needed a little bit of tweaking, as I skipped headers and still have the non HPP exhaust, as I have a Magnaflow on order. The car surely is a different beast, just need to get used to the way it drives and power characteristics. The kit is a nice looking kit and installs very clean.

The car really pulls hard, very linear power delivery. I will load the chart once he emails it to me, as it was pretty late once we finished up. I want to look at putting a wider wheel on the rear, but I don't think the stock z51 wheel will fit a 305. I'm going to also add a catch can this week.

Is the car still and Redline? I'm down in South Florida (Naples) and would love too see this beast.

No, its back at my house. I am about 2 hours north of Naples.

We have several here all the time getting mods....two here now have ECS units on them. If you'd like to check them out just PM me or send an email so we can clear a window to spend time.

Howard

Anyone looking to get work done on their car and is in the Florida market, I would definitely recommend Howard and his guys.

So, are the results a secret or just not finish yet? Just curious

Lol oops... Forgot the most important info.

Totally stock car, no headers and non NPP exhaust it was 566hp and 561rwt. Headers and free flowing exhaust I'm probably looking around 585 on up.

VERY nice numbers. How many pounds of boost? 91 or 93 octane fuel? SAE numbers on a dyno jet?

Those numbers are to the wheels or at the flywheel ?

At the wheels

I believe 7lbs of boost, yes 93 octane and I believe it was a dyno jet

That translates to the area of 635-645hp at the flywheel.

I believe roughly around 635 at the flywheel...

Motohead279 03-03-2014 02:45 PM

Once I get the exhaust on I might throw AR headers on there, it will probably put me closer to the 585 - 590 mark.

Theta 03-03-2014 02:47 PM

Don't stress about the last 25hp. Just look forward to the s**t-eating grin you'll have once the sound matches the power.
