Hey this is the internet and its the c7 subforum where things about the c7 are discussed. Well here is what happened last night with a very very pretty girl.

I was out with some friends having a few drinks and this 25 year old girl was sitting at our table. The guy to her left was about 55 to 60 I guess. He pulled out his phone and showed her a pic of a 69 Vette thinking it would impress her. She shook her and said I am not into corvettes at all sorry.

I felt bad for the guy but concerned myself after dropping $78k for my yellow stingray. So I whipped out my phone brought up my pic of my stingray and said what about this one? She smiled and said, "oh, I like that one WOW it looks exotic did you drive it here?" I said yes and she asked to see it so we went outside the bar leaving all the other gold rolex wearing guys holding their peckers with a duh look on their faces.

Showed her the car and she loved it especially guages changing with the driving modes. Then I said push the screen button the screen goes down exposing my 32 auto in the hidden compartment and she about freak'd on how cool that was. I thought about asking her about going for a ride then remember i have been married for 29 years and said well ready to go back inside. But it still made me feel good I could have. :woohoo:

So single guys get ready for a great return on investment and sorry for the story to previous model owners but you can pony up for one too its only money :D

I'm surprised she didnt start laughing when you showed her a 32 auto!

So you paid 78k for a stingray & you need it to pickup women? I actually feel sorry for you that you need a car to get women. Wow that's sad! Well that and you paid 78k for a Stingray! Two thing I would never tell anyone.

Speak for yourself

I don't know anyone my age (42) that is married that buys anything to impress woman, pretty immature if you ask me.

What ever you are into....

Um yeah they do, especially married guys (you may not admit it)--of course unless you're into guys, then that's another issue.

:iagree: Men will just about do whatever is necessary to get a woman's attention. And that's just to get their feet in the door, so-to-speak. Then the real work begins trying to keep their attention.

.

:iagree: 9 out 10 times I don't even take my vette when I go out and the couple of times I do I never mention what I drive. Ive had really nice cars all my life and never used that ploy to pick up chicks. Pretty sad the losers that do.

He said to "impress" nothing about picking up.

If "chicks" as you say even cared about cars, then they'd be on the Lambo or Ferrari guy not Corvette.

Guys buy a lot of things, married or not, to 'impress'.

If you don't believe that you're not being honest with yourself.

I don't hate this post...my 7 year old Z06 will stomp your new C7 :D

No I don't believe that and don't put words in my mouth. I buy my cars for me, nobody else.

I don't think he bought his car to impress that particular woman. You apparently don't know many married guys.

This stuff cracks me up...

I am not sure how it is in other parts of the country, but in Southern California a Corvette is lumped into the same category as a Camaro, Mustang. It gets very little attention from girls, most just make fun of them. If you pull up to a nice restaurant around here with a C7 they will most likely park it in the back.

I always liked Corvettes because they are FUN. I have owned many vehicles, and the Vette was probably the worst for picking up girls and going on dates.

If you want to pick up girls get a Mercedes/bmw/audi. Leave the Vette for winning the race....
