I had my first vette at 21 and the only question I received from girls my age was " is that your fathers car?" Reason they asked is because they only have seen guys their fathers age drive one. The vette never got me laid. It only made me look older.

My C7 is my first vette and I bought it because I really really wanted it, I'm 29 and I can assure you NO females from anywhere around my age group could care less about my C7 much less offer to get naked because of it.

Now, that being said... I can't stop for gas or a cheeseburger without some 50+ year old guy wanting to chit chat and asking me to pop the hood.

Except the one night I went out and hitched a ride with some friends, met a girl at a bar and started talking about cars. Once she heard I had a new SS camaro she offered to give me a ride home so she could see the car. Nothing happened that night but a year and a half later (last summer) we got married lolol.

Turns out her parents where drag racers back in the 70s/80s and she is a huge car chick!! Lololol. Now she has fallen in love with the C7. That's why I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the new Z06.

If I didn't have a job, I would have never been able to afford the vette. I was just starting off as a financial accountant. Was making plenty of money for a 21yo.

Girls would always want rides everywhere, but they didn't just jump on me like it was a porno. My girlfriend at the time hated the car. She wanted me to buy a BMW.

Of course GM is In the business to make money, whoever is willing to give them.

Although it is also known that those who have a long lasting relationship tend to be more financially secure and can afford nice cars.

If a lot less men try to impress girls for the wrong reasons, and not lose their shirts after a divorce (or something similar), one can argue a lot more of them would be able to drive a new vette.
