I've been with the company for a while too which probably helps.

In my experience, that hurts actually. new customers get lured in with lower rates, old customers get f'ed with higher rates.

I am 29 with a clean record.....I only have my "toy" cars like the vette with Grundy Insurance for agreed value insurance......cheaper than anyone else out there and if anything happens to the car they cut you a check for the value you agreed too when you signed up for the policy......also the only company that would even talk to me about insuring the viper!

24 year old here.

I'm paying roughly $1350 per year ($675 per 6 months) for Travelers insurance with 300/100/300 coverage and a $500 deductible.

EDIT: I have a clean record.

SheisVette 02-07-2014 01:55 AM

I pay about $45 a month for 500/100 with $100 deductibles plus towing and rental. I am 31.

I am glad to see there are so many younger owners of corvettes!!

gsxrguy84 02-07-2014 05:10 PM

29 I pay about 100-110 a month. 100/300 coverage and a $500 deductible. I have a few moving violations on my record as well.

30 years old and married. Full coverage with 500 deductibles Jacksonville NC $38.50 a month through USAA. Have multi car policy and renters insurance through them. No points on license, no accidents and about the same coverage as you.

AK47 02-07-2014 06:26 PM

I am 26. Pay about $100 a month. Clean record. Full coverage with 500 deductible.

Wow you guys are lucky. I'm 25 not the greatest record but the z06 and c240 are 550 per month in NJ full coverage.
Makes me kinda sick hearing you guys are insured at under 100 a month... my mom who is in her 40s, insane credit score (900s) perfect record with a camry is paying 180 a month...

New Jersey is America's armpit... This is why you pay so much. :flag:

Just turned 26..4 cars (07' C6Z/09' G8 GT/ 02' STRATUS/12' LANCER) on the policy with my house.. 10 fingers aren't enough to count my traffic violations since I started driving (no tickets since 3 years ago). 100/300/100 on insurance, 500 deductible. $375 w/ all cars and home owners.

Svre46 02-09-2014 08:54 AM

26 and have two cars. My 2nd and daily is only liability. Limits are a tad better than yours on my vette and I pay about 500/6 months. No violations in over 5 years and I live in Illinois. I do get a small discount for homeowners and multi car.

Edit: Just re-quoted Geico. 408 every 6 months. 1k collision deductible. 300k limits across the board. 800 club FICO.

I am 28 & live in central Ohio. I pay approx. $1100 per year ($550 every 6 months) through State Farm. Maximum coverage, whatever the ceilings are. Bought my Z06 when I was 26.

+ Not convicted of a speeding ticket or any other infraction since 18yo.
+ Until I got 17 over ticket last summer... But negotiated it down to 4 over, so still no points on license.
+ I garage the car for about 6 months, so I haven't seen the new quote for this year. I don't expect it to be much higher than $550.
+ Also have discounts for multiple vehicles, and homeowners.

State Farm has been great for me + family. Recommend checking them out. Remember it's not necessarily the price you pay - it's how they treat you when you require their services.

Hope this helps!

I will have to check mine but I am 29 with a 08 z06, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited and a 2012 Tundra and my insurance is 3 grand a year. I will check my deductions and let yall know

Kent1999 02-09-2014 05:09 PM

OP: that suspended license is hurting you. Insurance companies see that as irresponsible behavior (just like bad credit) and marks you as a higher loss risk. -- thats a fact. Shop around if you wish, but until that goes away, you're going to be paying higher rates.

I have been with hartford through AARP for many years now I'm 69 years old and I have 4 cars insured with them. My cost for liability one half 1 million collision comprehensive and all is $200 a year. No other driver. I guess it pays to be an old fart.

AviBen 02-09-2014 06:50 PM

To the OP: You ought to consider carrying more liability insurance, to the max. It shouldn't cost much more, and will be well worth it if you're facing a serious injury claim.

I may do that, but in the small town of Cisco Texas. I only drive each of my cars Classics and the Corvette maybe 100 miles a year. I also have 4 motorcycles and I hate to say it, but it ain't easy driving each one to keep them in running shape.
