Go to 7:55 for a real drag race.

And yes, I'd sure as hell race one of these if I had the chance.

 Thanks for sharing. Seen before but enjoyed again!! Amazing the pilot is talking away at 7-1/2 g's like it is just "a walk in the park"!! Amazing athletes in their own right.

And then just to liven things back up, I'll share with you an old saying from Marine Corps vets: "Don't pick a fight with an old guy. He'll just kill you." :flag:

Heh-heh.

Absolutely. When I took my first Aerobatic Flight lesson the instructor had me doing simple maneuvers that were pulling 2.5 to 3 gs and I could hardly move my hand to the Mike Push to Talk button to answer her questions (most of which were "Are you still OK"). I knew it was taking a toll on me but I didn't realize how much it wore me out until I got home from the lesson, laid down to take a nap and woke up 4 hours latter. LOL!

My hat's off to those pilots cuz that stuff is not easy at all mentally and physically.

That just has to be a feeling like none other while still on the ground. It feels a little different once you're in the air, but that thrust on the ground must feel unreal.

Here's a fun calculation:

Each of the jet engines (of the two) on the F/A-18 Hornet produces 708,835.357 pound foot/square second [lb*ft/s^2].

I'm going to need more than a YSi...
